 Our Mission:

The purpose of  the JumpStart  training program is to improve track and field techniques of athletes in the state of South Carolina to ensure success on the national level.  Success at the national level is accomplished by developing athletes physically, mentally and emotionally along side fundamental and bio-mechanical techniques throughout training and ultimately through competitions.

Bennie Isaac and Maurice Campbell, JumpStart Founders, Members of the National Sprint, Jumps and Hurdles Coaches Assoc.

Our History:

JumpStart was formed in 2005, under Coach Bennie Isaac and Coach Maurice Campbell, based in Columbia, SC. Coaches, Isaac and Campbell realized the local area lacked a year round environment to cultivate athletes interested in furthering their experiences in Track and Field. Their dream soon became a reality to provide opportunities that catered to athletes seeking post high school academic and athletic scholarships by providing personalized training during the track and field season and open meets.

What We Do:

JumpStart stresses the importance of striving for excellence on the track as well as in the classroom.  Our goal is to foster strong minds and bodies. We approach our athletes with an overall 'wholistic' by committing to the physical and emotional well being of an athlete and aspire to achieve better athletics academically and athletically.

Our Results:

Several athletes from middle and high school have trained under JumpStart excelling in multiple events in track and field, achieving state, regional and national titles.  In addition, coaches from area high schools have referred their top athletes for additional training.  These athletes compete during the high school season as well as during the spring and summer months in AAU and USATF sanctioned meets.   JumpStart  has been the training grounds for several athletes since its development.  The staff also realizes that it is important to improve athletic performance and reduce injuries by using functional training methods with the right equipment, appropriate plyometrics, strength training and proper nutrition.
